Frog Freedom.

The master of Stuntman is approved by Sony Computer Entertainment of America. All you lucky Merkins will be able to get it on July 4th. Meanwhile this means that I am now a free frog, sans project. Time to dissapear to Prague to be a lucky guest of Mish the Mouse. I'll still have net access, so I'll try and post once in awhile.

Disasterooni

So, I tell myself, when this dang game is done I will have a life. Fat chance. I'm in limbo now, not knowing if Sony will ok the master or want us to fix more bugs, and more bugs and more bugs.. damm. If only I could leave the country.I want so much to be happlily in Prague with the magnificent Mish!

Meanwhile a catalogue of domestic disasters strikes. Yesterday I locked myself out, great eh? I just realise my keys are in the house about two seconds after the door slammed behind me. So I had to get my neighbours to call for a locksmith. At least I finally met the neighbours. Nice bunch. They even made some tea while I waited for the locksmith.

Domestic disaster two happened in the middle of the night. My antiquated washing machine sprun a leak. The downstairs flat had water pouring out of the ceiling. Needless to say, at half past one at night I was not for the waking. They pounded frantically on my door but I wasn't for the waking. So when I finally wake up this morning, I found that not only was my kitchen flooded, but the water to the flat had been completely disconnected. Pants.

Whom the Gods would destroy they first drive mad.

The Stuntman Bug Gallery

Of course, things don't always go according to plan, and the PS2 is like any other platform and Reflections like any other developer in this respect..

"The aliens are coming!"

Actually, it's a hubcap that's been transformed into a screwy space of it's own. Remember always to initalise your vectors before breakfast, kids!
Then this won't happen to you.

"The zombloid stole my car!"

They said drinking too much coffee was bad for me, but they didn't warn me about this. Check those textures, Mr Artist!

Where have I been?

Well, Stuntman is nearly finished. Monday is officially the last day of development..thankfully. I'd forgotten what it was like to ship a title. It's a feeling compounded partly of relief that it's over, along with a sense of achievement that it's finished, and a bewilderment as to where all your friends went during all those months of hard work and social isolation. Where is Damien Coleman? If your'e reading this Damster, get in touch: my mobile swallowed your number..!

The Journal

A miscellany of topics that intersest me: deaf culture, game design, politics as soap opera, the cyborg condition and the experience of learning to hear again. Other topics presented are speculative fiction and imaginary cities. There are appearences of snippets of work in progress, public rants, pointless posts and Mish the Mouse.

The Writer

A lower middle class cyborg living an innocous life in a suburban village near Newcastle On Tyne, in the United Kingdom. Mostly autobiographical and creative notes posts and musings on the topic du jour.
